As a parish, we need to have a missionary spirit. We cannot be disciples of Christ, or authentic believers in the gospel without it. Christ has purchased our salvation with his blood; yet some remain sadly ignorant. The law of belief is the law of prayer. Our prayer, especially the Church’s official, public prayer, must reflect what we believe. How we worship matters.
Our church buildings matter for the same reason. One thing that all Christian church’s have in common, from the time we abandoned the catacombs, is a high ceiling. Catholic churches have high ceilings; it is an essential component. The Church’s public prayer requires a purpose-built structure with a high ceiling.
Let us raise part of the ceiling of our church in order to better worship our Saviour. We are giving Christ a new sanctuary, and we trust Him, and our Blessed Mother, to grant us all other things.
Construction Notice. Safety is our priority. Please be aware that only AUTHORIZED PERSONNEL will have access to the “construction zone” during working hours.
CHANGES IN MASS SCHEDULE Masses are held in the church, but behind a temporary wall between the work zone, and the worship zone. . Masses are scheduled only when workers are not present. Check Bulletin for updated Mass times.
We attempt to accomplish something good for God. We ask that He inspire our work, guide our hands, and bring it to a beautiful completion for our salvation and his glory. Thank you for your continued spiritual and material missionary ownership of the parish.
